SFSS
-Welcome on board! The Organiser Office has the tools and equipment to train Treasurers, Executives, and general members about the operations of the SFSS, as well as the different funds available for Departmental Student Unions.
All of the DSUs handouts can also be found in a free booklet called "The Nuts and Bolts of Student Unions".  Come pick it up from the Organiser Office at MBC 2238!

Forms you'll need to get started:

Reimbursements: the SFSS is always a reimbursement system. For student union reimbursements under $40, bring minutes and receipts to the General Office in MBC 2250. For reimbursements over $40, you'll need the SFSS "cheque requisition" forms. They are not available online, and this is the cheat sheet.

Student Union Core Budgets: your student union is active and you'd like some funding! This handout will help your Treasurer and Executive explain how SFSS funding is allocated to departmental student unions. The Organiser Office encourages all Treasurers to set up an appointment for a 20-minute training, too.

Student Union Grant Funding: sometimes your core budget isn't enough funding to plan big events such as Frosh weeks, conferences, publications, and special events. This handout is an overview of SFSS Student Union Grant Funding. Email organiser@sfss.ca with questions or even a draft budget- we're here to help you have the best event possible.

Recording Minutes and Funding: taking minutes is similar to taking notes in a class. SFSS student union funding is released when minutes are submitted to the SFSS. Student Union Recording Secretaries work closely with Treasurers to make sure things run smoothly.
