The University relations officer is the point of contact between university administrators and the SFSS. The URO works in collaboration with the members of the Advocacy committee to coordinate student participation in university governance though the SFU Senate, Board of Governors, and other key university committees; The URO will often sit on hiring or search committees for new senior administrators and Deans. The URO's work with the space committee necessarily involves liaising with the university departments that control spaces on campus, as well as with students who use the spaces.
