Anti-Black racism is an ongoing problem, and discussing racism let alone anti-Black racism tends to be seen as "uncomfortable", especially in Canada. No matter how uncomfortable it may be for some, racialized Black people are constantly exposed to the violence of racism, more specifically, anti-black racism. Black people continue to be marginalized and face racial disparities in their everyday life. Due to anti-black racist practice, society has adopted stereotypes and biases whether conscious or unconscious that impact and oppress Black people. Facilitator Bio: Janelle Campbell is a mental health therapist and clinical supervisor. She has a master’s degree in social work, and has been in the social service sector for 15 years. She has worked as a CBT therapist, case manager, and community worker.
