The SFSS Women’s Centre and certified expressive arts therapist Heather Prost are excited to offer Nurturing Our Roots: An Expressive Arts & Zine Workshop. Together we will engage in the theme of self-nurture through guided arts-based exploration and zine-making. Facilitator Bio: Heather Prost (they/them) is a white, nonbinary, queer, multi-media visual artist, youth arts and leadership coordinator, end of life doula, and expressive arts therapist that lives on the unceded lands of the Kwantlen, Katzie, and Semiahmoo nations. **Materials will be provided to those that email: womenscentre-admin@sfss.ca by MARCH 1st 2021.** Needed: paper, pens, markers, mirror and a song you like. **If you have any access needs, please email womenscentre-admin@sfss.ca by MARCH 1st 2020.**

How are you taking care of yourself during these challenging times? ? The answer might be different for everyone, but one thing is for sure, YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!? ? UNICEF SFU and SFU Pursuit of Happiness have come together to hold Speaker Panel: Mental Health During COVID-19 on Friday, March 26th from 6-8 PM. This panel will include speakers who are mental health advocates and are able to share their expertise and knowledge. We are honored to have these amazing speakers bring in their wealth of knowledge and experiences. Through an evening of education and discussion, we are working towards increased student awareness of mental health issues during COVID-19. We will have a Q&A period and discussion time with the panelists where you can ask any questions you might have related to mental health and COVID-19! ? But that’s not all! We have some fun activities planned too!? The tickets are $5 and all the funds will be dedicated towards Jack.org and UNICEF’s Sustainable Development Goal 3, which emphasizes good health and well-being. The option to donate more is also available. We have over $300 worth of exciting giveaways!!? ? So gather your friends or drop by to meet like-minded people to have a night filled with learning, discussion, and networking.? ? Date: Friday, March 26th ⏰ Time: 6:00 pm-8:00 pm ?
