This semester we have a selection of series focusing on Healthy Relationship with self. Through simple and creative guided workshops, each ARThrive session will explore different topics related to the main theme, Healthy relationship with self while creating art together in a safe(r) online space. Join us and the Sexual Violence Support and Prevention Office, on Thursday, May 14th, for ARThrive's Relationship with self, Summer series, facilitated by Paola Quiros, Educator at the SVSPO. With recyclable and upcycle materials, workshop participants will create their own comfort box for self-care to support them in stressful and difficult moments during the social distancing time. This is a hands on-based, creative workshop offering participants a room to explore their artistic abilities and give meaning to objects that will help anchor and ground their self-care. Materials to bring to the online workshop: · Scissors, markers, pens and scrap paper to write down and design encouraging notes
· If you have access to craft paper, or gift paper bring it to the workshop
· Botte cups or jar lids
· Your favorite quotes
· Sticky notes if available
· Foraged objects: Stones, a piece of wood, leaves, flowers, crystals, small branches, etc
· Photos of your pet or loved ones (if available)
· Any comforting snack (chocolate, granola bar, gummies, etc)
· Letters that you have saved from friends or loved ones
· A piece of something fluffy or soft (a small stuffy animal, a feather, a ball of yarn, a piece of a soft fabric)
· If you do not have allergies, a cotton ball with essential oil, or a scented candle
