Ganesh Chaturthi5:45 pmThe event is to have a Ganesh Puja, also known as Ganesh Chaturthi, which is an auspicious occasion that marks the birth of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity revered as the remover of obstacles and the harbinger of success and prosperity. In the Hindu culture, it is believed that invoking Lord Ganesha's blessings at the commencement of new ventures, such as the school year, ensures their smooth and fruitful progression. The prayer (puja) serves as a meaningful tradition for our community, fostering a sense of unity, harmony, and positive energy as we embark on another academic year. The event will commence with the traditional Ganesh prayer (Puja) rituals, followed by devotional hymns (Bhajans), cultural performances, and a food (prasad) distribution ceremony. We hope to provide the faculty and the students with an enriching experience and opportunity to come together and celebrate our shared values. In addition! , we will be holding a celebration we like to call Dhol Tasha, in which a group of individuals bring drums of various sizes and play together as we dance and take our blessings from Lord Ganesha.
