Your ticket to ride
The U-Pass BC

The U-Pass BC is a service provided to students by the Simon Fraser Student Society, SFU and TransLink. It gives SFU students a universal transit pass across Metro Vancouver, charged on your SFU fees per semester.

Update as of December 2020:

Students’ access to TransLink’s U-Pass BC account currently remains unavailable. If you loaded a U-Pass BC to your account in November, TransLInk has manually loaded a U-Pass BC for December. If a student’s U-Pass BC has not been loaded to their account for December, students are asked to contact Compass Customer Service.

Combining your Compass Card and U-Pass BC will give you the complete transit access you need.

Visit the U-Pass BC site to find out how you can request your U-Pass BC. Make sure you have your SFU computing ID and a Compass Card on hand to make it quick and easy.

Please Note:  if you’ve just ordered or loaded a Compass Card, it can take up to 24 hours to become validated, so keep that in mind. Once the card is loaded, you can tap-in and tap-out.

TIP

Request your Compass Card U-Pass BC validation a day before the end of the month.
