October 29, 2013

The event is a panel and discussion about the unique challenges women face in entering the political arena. Its purpose is to encourage women to participate in governance at all levels by preparing them for the challenges they will face and introducing them to like minded individuals. The panel and question period is scheduled to take an hour and a half, and is to be followed by a half an hour networking session. All ages and genders are encouraged to attend. Child care will be available and we will strive to meet any accessibility needs identified to us. A light dinner will be served.

We have two panelists confirmed:
Selina Robinson, current NDP MLA for Coquitlam Maillardville and former Coquitlam City Councillor
Amina Rai, former UBC Alma Matter Society President
