Read the 2019 Recommendations to the Government of Canada

• Advocated for students during the COVID 19 pandemic which resulted in the issuance of the Canada Emergency Student Benefit to provide financial assistance to support post-secondary students and recent post-secondary and high school graduates who are unable to find work as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic.
• Successfully lobbied the Burnaby City council to finally give the green light and allocate funding for the Burnaby Mountain Gondola project.
• Successfully organised a voting drive for students to vote during the 2022/2023 municipal elections
• Successfully organised debates for candidates contesting in the Surrey mayoral elections and candidates vying for the position of councillors to the Burnaby City council
• Successfully lobbied the provincial government to institute a need based grant to provide financial aid to low and middle income background students who are not able to take on large amounts of debt for the education
• Successfully advocated for the provincial government to remove interest on BC government issued student loans effective February 2019.
• Successfully lobbied the federal government to provide one third of the funds (an estimated $1.3 billion) for the Surrey Langley skytrain expansion project.
