The SFSS Free Breakfast program is a barrier- free breakfast program that offers hot morning meals to SFU undergraduate students at no cost in the Student Union Building (SUB). It is available on a weekly basis in the Fall and Spring semester on alternative days. The program primarily targets students who might otherwise skip breakfast due to time and financial constraints. With this initiative the SFSS aims to improve students’ concentration and energy in the morning; ensure that students’ starts their day with a meal- particularly those who may not have the funds to do so and lastly, provides a space on campus where students can interact and support each other thereby helping them build social connections and improve their campus life.
When does the program begin?
The SFSS free breakfast program takes place in the Fall and Spring semesters on alternative days- either on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Keep an eye out for posters on the the SUB notice boards regarding the dates for the SFSS free breakfast program every semester or follow the SFSS social media handles to get the latest updates (please include the SFSS’s instagram, facebook and twitter handles here)
