Here’s what your SFSS Board of Directors has been up to during the month of February:

The SFSS Board of Directors had a fulfilling February!

They hosted numerous events ranging from Munchie Mondays & Tasty Tuesdays to SFSS Care Packages at SFU Dog Therapy. Keep an eye out for free snacks on a cart on Mondays or Tuesdays! Also, SFSS Care Packages included sustainable items supporting local businesses at SFU’s Dog Therapy! Next, the Board hosted a Year in Review to share projects and events from the past year to the student body. Be sure to follow the SFSS Events Committee’s Instagram account (@sfssevents) to stay up to date!

The SFSS was a sponsor at the Edu Connect Conference and several Board members connected with student leaders and professionals. President Giovanni Hosang was a panelist on behalf of the SFSS! Also, Governor General Julie Payette and Lieutenant Governor Janet Austin visited SFU Surrey to tour the new Engineering Building and the SFSS made our presence felt through our President and multiple other undergraduate students in attendance. Next, the BC Budget Day Speech presented the great news of Needs-Based Grants announced for BC students. A massive milestone in student advocacy, and massive win for the SFSS!

We hope you enjoyed all these events, activities, and support in the advocacy efforts. Remember to vote in the upcoming SFSS Board of Directors election on March 17-19! The Board wishes everyone a happy March!
