We invite you to come together as a community for a Breath of Resilience workshop in honour of Trans Day of Visibility! Open to all trans, gender diverse, queer, and supportive ally students, faculty members, and staff, this one-hour social workshop will equip participants with eight breathing practices that can be harnessed in daily life to promote your every day joy and resilience. Breath is a unique and empowering physiological process–while it happens involuntarily, it is also within our conscious control, and is accessible to us at all times. This workshop is more of a seated practice, and there is no need to wear or bring anything special. All bodies and abilities are welcome at this event! Let us know if you have any specific accessibility needs, and we will do our best to accommodate you. This will be hosted by Jaden Gornall, a health sciences student in his final semester at SFU. A C-IAYT yoga therapist and yoga instructor, and a man of trans experience, he is honoured to share practices with his community to assist in promoting greater ease in body and in mind.
