This past month your executive committee was hard at working preparing for future projects and bringing food to campus through the SFSS breakfast program.

See below for a recap of February’s updates:

  • VP External and Community Affairs launched the SFSS Breakfast Program this February, providing a nutritious breakfast for all SFU undergrad students. On top of the breakfast program, Munchie Mondays was launched which allowed students to grab a snack and also meet the SFSS executive committee. VP External & Community visited Ottawa alongside the acting president to lobby the federal government where they discussed support for international students and students facing deportation. Lastly, the External and Community Affairs Committee had a social where future projects were discussed and members got to know each other better.
  • VP Equity and Sustainability has been working on a menstrual product program in collaboration with VP Internal & Organizational development, VP University & Academic Affairs. This project will provide students with menstrual products in the washroom of all SFU campuses. $3000 dollars was also donated to the local organizations in Turkey and Syria to assist in their recovery from the 7.8 magnitude earthquake.
