November 7, 2022

The month of October was filled with many momentous occasions. Members had opportunities to participate in the SFSS By-Election, as well as the municipal elections. With support from the executive committee, the Get Out to Vote campaign was held to educate members on the importance of voting through tabling and making local candidates debates accessible to everyone. The Annual General Meeting was also held in October, giving members the chance to voice their thoughts on important matters that impact their experience as students.

Additionally, VP Events co-hosted a Diwali celebration with the SFSS Women’s Centre, and Ujjwal ‘22 with the Indian Student Federation, celebrating India’s largest and most important holiday of the year. To ring in the spooky season, a Halloween Carnival was also held in the ballroom, allowing students to mingle and enjoy Halloween activities. VP Internal was busy tabling to speak with students about the Health and Dental Referendum, and answer any questions related to StudentCare plans.

Thank you to the executive committee and staff for their hard work during this busy month.
