The Simon Fraser Student Society contributed $60,000 to establish the Emergency Assistance Fund for Fraser International College.

This fund will provide support for FIC undergraduate students facing a sudden emergency situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic and have exhausted all other possible resources and for whom such financial hardship would affect their ability to attend and complete their program of study.

To be eligible to receive funding, the student is required to meet the following criteria:

  • must be an enrolled at Fraser International College (FIC)
  • must have no outstanding financial balance with the institution.
  • must be registered in full time courses during the semester In which you are applying for funds.
  • must have achieved the minimum passing grade on all completed courses in the previous semester or have a combination of 80% attendance and a record of community engagement.

Students may only receive one bursary in a twelve month period.
