Work with a dynamic Board of Directors committed to advocating for students, building student power, and providing resources and services that represent, connect and benefit the undergraduate student body at Simon Fraser University. :
Alongside the President, the Board of Directors and Society Executives, the Operations Organizer is responsible for human resources management as well as the effective operations of SFSS services and outreach programs.

Among the highlights of the duties and responsibilities, the Operations Organizer will:

  • Provide human resource support to union staff working within a Collective Agreement, including oversight of job descriptions, hiring committees, probationary and performance reviews
  • Support the Board, its committees, services, events and campaigns
  • Develop and implement service processes to ensure that member needs are being identified and addressed
  • Work closely with the Finance staff and VP Finance on the annual budget and audit, day to day finances, including reimbursements and payroll
